Adolescent Treatment

AdolescentIn most cases, orthodontists utilize the natural growth spurt in adolescence to move teeth quickly. For many patients this means starting treatment between the ages of 10 and 14. On average, by the age of 11, nearly all of the permanent teeth have erupted and common issues like crooked and crowded teeth, gaps between teeth and bad bites (malocclusions) are apparent and ready to be addressed.

If you have already been on a regular recall schedule with Dr. Lathrop, she will know exactly when is the best time to start braces. If you have not yet had an initial exam with Dr. Lathrop, but think it is time to start braces – do not fear! We would love to offer a complimentary evaluation to assess your case. Please give us a call or send us an e-mail to set-up an appointment.
